Think I need to eat my words guys, I don't think the Gonzales Brothers were the culprits. I got a call today from Texas and was assured that as controversial as those ol' southern boys are, they would post their names when they join the deer forums. HEY QUICKIE..........You out there???

Jim who ever it is they did go to the old forums and copy the picture they posted it was meant for me as it was my deer from 2004

I didn't get to meet the Gonzales brothers at NADEFA but I was glad to see them there. They added a spark with their presence at the Conf that has been lacking. I for one am glad to see more of the TX folks like them and Henry Woodard, James Butler, Brett Scarber, Jordan Smrekar coming north to join us at the shows. And I look forward to going south to their shows this next season.

I had a BLAST playing cards with some of those guys on Sat night! I even got up to having 2 yellow chips!:p

AHHH Finally I get to post !! Been trying for two hrs couldnt remember my password.I took pride when a friend in Ohio called me quickdraw I thought he was referring to me taking 1st and 2nd place in tda dallas on the lasershot NOT!! Listen guys anyone who really knows me will tell you Im not one to be afraid to stand behind anything I say,in saying that I promise you that I have never posted under any name but my own and I have no idea who quickdraw is. I invite the administrator to check ip on computer used for quickdraw posts and disclose whether it was mine here on forums. I would also like to say that I was really impressed with maxbo rangers sons (especially dreamranger) whats really incredible is that there arent many of them but so many are big. Roger thanks for the kind comments we were treated with great hospitality in ohio nadefa and I promise we will return the favor here in Texas when yal come down. Quickie I say to you, thankyou for positive stuff said about my twins just wish we could all know who you are..............FRED GONZALEZ

Fred -

I'm glad that you mentioned Dreambuck... I've always been very impressed with his look and production, but I never knew the whole story about how much he was actually used. The fact that his semen was fairly limited makes his production even more impressive! Very cool.

I've been breeding with TX semen since I started AI'ing in 2007, and I will continue to use some of your great sires down south.

Thanks again for the info.

Mike

I saw some mighty fine bucks from Texas at Nadefa. They have some reall producers that i never evan herd of before. I know one thing if you want a frame with long beams, long tines and lots of them those Texas boys have what you are looking for. Might not have the mass but they sure have every thing else.

This debate will go on for ever! If you breed a deer long enough you WILL get great offspring! Now some will definitely build better deer if given the chance. What we all need to look at is the number of deer any particular sire has bred to accomplish...thats where I think the proof in the puddin is. I know this is something I looked early on....not saying right or wrong!

Good to see some of all ya all at NADeFA. Virgil I got a few who ask me who you are since you are from Pa and I didn't know. Sorry I didn't meet ya.

Hey all,

I see my picture still has legs. I really don't want someone using my picture on here except when jokes are being made. I will say none of the bucks mentioned were on my farm. Being that I am interested in what I can produce or have been able to produce, here's my list.

MAXIMUS D/T - over 70 sons and grandsons born on my farm. 100% over 200 inches at 3 all with huge wide typical frames---

D/T Rip -one breeding to 5 Maximus D/T daughters 255" average at 3 years old.---

Little Dan - Piles of 200 plus inch typicals @ 3---

Dropper- Never produced a son that didnt have drops. In the pedigree of both Absolute and Missle and tons of other monster bucks.---

D/T AwesomeRip- Rip son out of a Maximus D/T doe. 20 1/2 " average inside spread on one year olds. One year olds averaged 150 plus.

D/T Maximus Straightup- Bunch of super nice 1 year olds.

D/T Maximus Missle- Will have his first crop this year. The best does had doe fawns but watch out anyway they are GBB!!

D/T MaxiRip- First crop this year.

Big Gene

Big Foot

CJ

Big Dan

Big Red

D/T Bucky

Thats my list. Thats the only list I care about. I like my list. My list is great. I think I will keep my list in my list pocket. Now I can make money cause I gotta list. Its my first list and thats probably why I am so affectionate towards it. My wife has always wanted me to make a list. She says that I would get more done if I had a list. So I gotta go work now cause I gotta list. I am skipping towards the deer pens now!

Jim, you would do well to use Maximus DT in your herd. He throws through his sons and his daughters. His pedigree isn't bad either. You know if you like that B37 doe;)

I am glad to have straws in my tank for future use here.

Tim, your a buck producing monster down there! Love ya man!:p

Jim,

We never had alot of semen from him to start with and there is not much left. Kevin Wallace bought half interest in him when he was five. The price is bound by Kevin and I at $3500.00. It is extremely good semen. I know David has Maximus C/R priced at $5000,00. They are womb, twin brothers. I have shot so many great bucks out of him that it sickens me to think about it, but I have to make a living. If I can help you out let me know.----Roger, Thanks for your nice words, especially after I hurt your back. You know I love you and Laurie too. You did forget to mention that he had a crappy dad as well as B 37 for a mom. Of course that would be Max.------Fred and Gene G.---- Had a good time visiting with Gene at the conference. I got a chuckle when ya'll got accused.

Tim

Hey Tim what would be the first thing a guy could do If he wanted a penful of great bucks like you have? I know people have been to your place and seen what you've put on the ground and they drive all the way home thinking about shootin their deer. Oh and missing Tina all the way home. lol

Matt,

I rekon if Eric (pinky toes) thinks they are so great and would like to have some like them, he could purchase some does from me. You know I have their mothers, sisters, grandmothers and dads here. I guess mine are probably to cheap for him. He only wants stuff he pays alot for.---Jim--- If I could I would give it to you but economics are what they are. Thanks though for asking. ---- By the way the list hasn't helped. Carried it in my pocket for 2 days and still haven't gotten anything done.

I think a buck that gets overlooked as a great producer is Avalanche.

He may not be top 5, but with limited straws from an untimely death I would put him in the top ten.
